DECENCY and SIMPLICITY in Islam
YA AHLAN WA SAHLAN!! (HELLO AND WELCOME!!) ^u^
Our Holy Qur'an says it all concerning decency in Islam (Sharing some Quranic sayings before proceeding with the Blog topic, The topic begins from Paragraph 4).
“The Prophet said: ‘Whoever has an atom’s weight of pride in his heart will not enter Paradise.’ A man said: ‘What if a man likes his clothes and his shoes to look good?’ He said: ‘Allah is Beautiful and loves beauty. Pride means denying the truth and looking down on people.’” [Sunan Ibn Majah 4213]
“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts). That is purer for them. Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what they do.” [Quran 24:30]
“And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, head-cover, apron), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband’s fathers, or their sons, or their husband’s sons, or their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigor, or small children who have no sense of feminine sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful.” [Quran 24:31]
There is a concrete framework to as why simplicity and modesty is preferred in our ever beautiful and just religion, "Islam." The idea of modesty is clear cut rationalism. As touched upon before, we don't leave our glimmering sets of pearls and diamonds out in the open for dust to rest over nor do we unravel our valuable possessions to the public simply because we never want anyone taking what is dear to us.
As women and men, created by Allah SWT, we are not a mediocre sculpture of atomic atoms and molecules rather a creative sinew with billions and trillions of neurons floating about in never ending plexuses.
Embedding a billion flowing cells within our tiny body compared to this entire universe, Our Lord blessed us with an amazing gem that resides within us, a constant bell which dings to guide your way back to Him, an adrenaline that sparks our excitement to grab the prayer mat and spend hours sacrificing our deep warm slumber. This drop of conscience and wisdom is called, "The primordial essence."
Someone said this and I thought of scribbling it in my notebook,
"Outward appearances are deceptive. What's within them, beneath them is what matters."
When something is beyond-price and exquisite, it is better to hide it as much as we can. As Shakespeare put it, "Nothing's either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." If we'd feed all the negative perspective to the back of our heads regarding simplicity and modesty in Islam then ultimately, we will think of it as something bad.

Modesty doesn't felter our lives. Rather we need to filter this negative thinking out. Just because other people say that covering yourself, wearing modest clothing and being more modest is hopeless, or crazy or broken to pieces doesn't mean it is. We decide what story to tell ourselves.
Allah SWT hasn't privileged us with this primordial essence to sit and make a bowl of ramen every Saturday evening over Netflix rather to ponder over everything that has been ordered to us.
A few more lines I scribbled on my notebook, I wanted to put them in here.
The perceiving eyes see more than what is there.
The observing eyes see what is there in real. The observing eye sees events clear of distractions, and misperceptions.

We decide whether we assent or reject to a safety rule that Allah SWT has sent down to us when our souls keep expressing an SOS ring through its primordial essence.
Has the glitter of this world blinded us enough to take the risk of our permanent peril and become inhabitants of a blazing end in the great inferno of Jaheem?
The choice is ours.
