Treating Your SOUL!!
Ya Ahlan Wa Sahlan!! (Hello and welcome!!)
I've always been fascinated by sea-sides and being able to spend 4 years of my life at Karachi, I seldom had "out of the blue" plans to spend the evening at Hawks-bay or Clifton, although I personally did not have the best experience while having BBQ nights near the sea-side cafe's, especially because the salty spin-drift always used to mess up my hair, throwback to those "non-hijabi days" but...now!! I'm in absolute love with my hijabi self,
Alhamdulilahh!! (Thank's to God Almighty!!)
We all know that feeding anything eventually grows it..
Just like:
Feeding your ego.
Watering the roots.
Providing nutrients to negativity.
So, it grows. And, it extends out into a stem and with the passage of time, it's no longer a baby stem but a huge tree.
There's no distinction between the plant's we water and grow and the negativity or the ego we feed and the problems we cause not for anyone but for ourselves.
We ourselves pour water into the pot and once you'll spout water into it...
What's gonna happen?
Of-course!! it's gonna fill, obeying the laws of nature and the pull of gravity.
Constant memories and flashbacks of those beachy evening's made me muse over something quite substantial and deep:
we've all observed the foam forming across the saltings, by constant collision of the waves.
That momentarily lasting foam, only lives till the the next wave appears and drags it away with it, back to the deep shallow sea.
The one who lives for the Duniya'a (world) is just like that froth, the world drags such a person anywhere it likes, Why?
Because, their foundation isn't strong enough to hold them firm.
In other words:
"They have no purpose in this Duniya'a"
Who do you think is more "powerful"?
A person who is physically muscular? Or a person who owns a powerful, strong soul? In other words exhibiting strength, spiritually.
Well, the answer is: both of them are strong!! but the only difference between the two is that they've struggled and sharpened two different parts of themselves, two different halves of a human.
The one who is physically fit and muscular, worked hard on his body.
While the other trained his soul to be powerful enough to bear any hardship, any trial and pain that come's with this world.
Now, what matter's is..
Which one has more durability?
"The Soul."
Being strong "visibly" or remaining fit isn't wrong at all, A person should take care of himself both physically and spiritually, He should be healthy and active as well. Check out my entire blog composed over an all-important topic of self-love and Halal ways to love yourself!! click the link right here :)
But, what's important to digest is that, your physical fitness no longer carries enough weight as long as the soul is weak and worldly dilemmas leave a person broken, cranky and eventually sulking in hopelessness without any Tawakkul (Trust In God).
Strengthening your soul mean's feeding it with it's right food and not depriving it of it's true oxygen:
"The Salaah." (Prayer)
Islam being a complete code of life, not only educates people about being physically fit but also being healthy on the inside and that means, building true comfort inside you no matter what's going on in the world around.
Would you prefer risking your time and money over something that isn't yours forever? Or would you you grow your soul healthy and strong, which is indeed the far more lasting half of the Human?
Would we ever risk, "Not Breathing" just because we're at school or at the mall??
Of-course Not!!
Why'd I risk "breathing" for something like a " 70 percent off sale",The first thing that anyone would go like over this idea would be:
"No Way?!! Such a twit!"
"Are you nuts??"
Another picture which exhibits the same idea is "Our Prayers".
Skipping prayers or dozing off through Fajar (Morning Prayer) is no different than depriving our heart, our soul of it's true oxygen.
Eventually, deprivation of Oxygen or proper nutrients would end up in an "On-Slaught" of me against myself!!
Just because we find it very onerous to fulfil our top priority, Salah!!
So, next time we might consider pampering our soul more than our weekly runs to the salon and daily gym classes with free yoga evenings!
Because this time, We will genuinely be "Powerful"
Because this time, We chose the "Right Oxygen",
The right half of Ourselves and the forever lasting part of us..
"The Soul."
No "Girl Power", we're bound by one and only..
"Muslimah Power"
Assalamm-O-Aalekumm!!
