Things Changed... PART:2
This is the part:2 to the "Things Changed" Blog that i wrote previously, if you haven't read it yet, then first check it out, so everything in this blog makes sense ^u^ Click Here to read part:1 of the "Things Changed Series"
Shakespeare once said:
"The apparel oft proclaims a man"
and, this simply means that people often form judgements about others based upon the clothes that they wear. Summarising it all up, the talk is always about the supposed moral values attached to a woman's dress or the purity of their attire that go against the parameters laid down by the moral police...Islam beautifully breaks us free from all of these shackles and fringes of right and wrong basis of judgement.
This surfaced extremity of judgemental barriers is sadly mushrooming at a rapid pace.
There was a quote I came across and it is by Angelica Hopes, thought I'd put it in here and share it with ya'll:
She said,
"Appearance doesn't measure the goodness of your heart and the hidden joy of your soul."
Summarising it up, all fur coat and no knickers isn't always a practical way of defining the "reality of a person."
The prophet (PBUH) said, "The best of you in Islam are the best of you in character when they posses understanding (of the deen)."
We are currently living in an age where religion and morality have been pushed aside. The floodgates of secularism have been opened and the effect of this has reached even the most remote of places. What is good appears to the people, to be evil, what is evil appears to be good, and the confusion has infected the Ummah at large.
There is a very strong saying from the Prophet (PBUH), and it is that, "There will come a time when holding on to your Imaan (belief) will be like holding on to hot coals." (Tirmidhi).
This is fairly enough to compel anybody to just get up and start doing what is right for the sake of your Lord (SWT) not for anybody, not for people not for the kudos that you receive for something surfaced, but for something that can't be seen by anybody, your intentions, your neeyah!
It's never too late to make a difference, do what's right, what is acceptable and above all, keep it halal.
If you wanna start wearing the Hijab, then go for it! if you wanna start wearing Jilbab or Abaya, then go for it! life's short and you never know when you would depart from the world, then why take any chances?
I feel happier about my Hijab and Abaya, I'm happy that i chose what i felt was right, I got my first ever abaya! and I couldn't be more blessed!! these little things make me so very happy, because when you purely do something for Allah (SWT), it would always make you feel precious and so very blessed!! I can proudly say thing's changed but not in a bad sense but for the better, they made me much much positive.
Self development is a slow process don't forget that even if the process is slow, you gotta take small steps to reach their, fall in love with the process that you won't even realise that you've reached that state where you finally would have progressed, In Sha Allah! you will change and you would proudly be able to say that, "I'm proud of myself!"
In Sha Allah!
And, I'm telling you, you can change too, girl!! Go for it!! let's make a difference.
Also, if you're someone thinking about wearing the Hijab then let me tell you about all the perks it comes with, YOU NEED TO READ THIS!!!
Assalamm-O-Alaekumm!! :))
God bless each and everyone who made it till the end of this blog Shukran Jazilan!! (Thank You Very Much!!) <3
