7 TIPS on keeping your HIJABS good as NEW!!
YA AHLAN WA SAHLAN!! (Hello and Welcome!!) ^u^
BISMILLAH!!
Snapping out of the coffee afficionado spirit and jumping over our today's blog topic which is all about Hijabs/Head scarf that Muslim women are obligated to wear in front of males barring the female's father, brother, son and husband of course!
It's undoubtedly a stunning benison that us women are given. Indeed, what is rare and valuable to somebody needs to be veiled and unseen from the commonality. A queen existent, a tourmaline or opal perhaps. Think of anything that seems pretty to the sight and is kept secret, hidden deep within the black of mines. Visualize it and then look at yourself in the mirror.
Now, I want you to go through these lines excavating the conscience of your mind; "you're far more exquisite than all of those glimmering jewels to Allah Almighty and that is why you deserve to be unseen, hidden and saved from the common eyes who do not deserve to savor the beauty you have brought to this universe."
Now, that I've brought you all in that energetic buzz, it's time to conserve the beauty of those hijabs you own! Let us plunge into it.
1. Choose the right fabric:
It's highly crucial to choose the right fabric of your hijab as some hijabs are quite a challenge to our patience and some which can be easily slid out of the wardrobe and onto our cute heads. Lawn hijabs are hassle-free to wear as they do not slip off and can be worn without a bunch of pins poked into it. However, it is vital to avoid over-washing such a fabric, as it may birth lint.
2. Iron the hijabs:
Chiffon hijabs often tend to crinkle like a crumbled piece of paper, it displays an untidy image of the hijab and an off-putting impression about the person wearing it. It's important to iron the hijab and a tip to do that is to use a flat iron/straightener. Warm it up and iron the desired areas like you'd straighten your hair. Easy Peezy lemon squeezy!!
3. Do not over wash:
Some people over wash their hijabs. I remember my aunt would arrange her "conventional" and "exclusive" hijabs separately. She'd wash the conventional one's as their usage was routinely at home. The exquisite one's however were the one's she'd only wear for a few hours when she was out of the house. There was barely a need to scrubby dub those exquisite pieces of hijabs unless they were stained or dirty. This fosters the fabric of the hijab.
4. Perfumery:
Mild perfumes sprayed over your hijab give that extra kick regarding your hygiene habits. Avoid staining your hijab with excessive perfume precipitation as it won't look very nice. This way even after you've come back home from a long day, your hijabs would be smelling as good as a garden in full bloom.
5. Keep your dresser/wardrobe clean:
Whether you're storing your hijabs in a cupboard or a dresser, make sure it's clean. If the hijabs are likely to crinkle grab a few hangers and nicely hang each hijab on each hanger. You can even choose to roll the hijabs like a fat burrito and align them within your dresser.
If you wish to plate the hijabs one over the other like a pile of clothes then choose a thin, clean cardboard sheet and place it at the bottom in the cupboard compartment and then add the hijabs one over the other (This is what I love to do as I badly wanted to utilize a cupboard compartment in my room and I dedicated it to my set of hijabs).
6. Do not throw your hijabs:
I know you and I are well aware that hijabs aren't a Frisby disk but sometimes in a rush, we like to shove them around in the wardrobe or even our rooms. Avoid doing that. Treat them as you'd treat a very new dress that you've bought. Keep them nice and tidy.
7. DIY-Pin Box:
2 years ago, I gifted my mum a box of chocolates and a perfume while I was away from her in another city. She seemed to love them a lot. My mum has a prodigious collection of gift items which she loves to keep as a memento from her loved-one's. She ate the chocolates of course but she kept the little-cute box they came in.
The box had a little panda on it, and it was dainty and convenient to carry so I decided to utilize it for my hijab pins and brochettes after I got back home. The main implication behind this tip is to embed an idea in your mind regarding the utilization of hijab pins and other tiny accessories you use with your hijabs. Put any cute little box to use for this as hijab pins can be a great hassle.
This wraps up the blog post!!
