Fitnah - just a click away...
YA AHLAN WA SAHLAN!! (Hello and Welcome!!) ^u^
The meanings of all these words intermingle with each other like beads on a necklace. Nowadays, parents are super proud of their daughters for guarding their modesty, exhibiting this element of shyness as a young woman, abaya/jilbab obscuring their daughters the moment they walk out the front door. The time she walks out, she is accompanied by her brother or father.
The two walk in tandem where the brother is cloaking his sister from insatiably gazing men. These certain men are no less than a pack of fervent wolves ready for a green signal to bring an attack. But the brother is proud of his sister exhibiting modesty.
Clock strikes 4:50, They are home just in-time before the dusk shadows the sun rapidly. She fetches the phone out of her leather tote. Just in time to upload her picture for her page. She's reached a massive gain; 1.3k followers. From "get ready with me videos" to "outfit of the day" one's. She's dressed on occasions with pearly white necklaces, resplendent in her bright red dress. A little twirl for the camera won't hurt, She preens herself before the camera with her dazzling set of necklaces, rings and beautifully frilled dress.
The dress that exposes her body perfectly. A colossal breakthrough it is when she sees about a 1000 comments from men of all ages extolling her beauty; She feels pretty parading her beauty for everyone to gawk at. The beauty that is needed to be concealed for her husband to come. The beauty that was well hidden. The beauty that drove her brother and father to crown her as their pride.
What is this catastrophe? It is nothing but Fitnah. A fitnah that's manifested within closed doors. A fitnah that arises even while being at home. People crawl through social media every single second. They are waiting to ensnare such young women and girls. Fitnah can be showcased even through social media, even if a man or woman lives a hermit-like simple life. More than a thousand online tormentors are waiting for you to fowl up. Fitnah is everywhere; It can even emerge from your own room, behind closed doors. It can showcase itself effortlessly at the push of a button.
Nothing's camouflaged from Allah Almighty no matter if we present a façade of modesty in front of our families. Fitnah can grow within rifts and crevices, within confinements and fabrication.
This is the reality that has emerged to become an everyday norm. Your radiant and breathtaking existence is not for display. It isn't for a handful of likes, comments and observance. As Gift Mona once said, "You are a queen; don't allow anyone to dethrone you from your throne." Do not relinquish to this Fitnah. Do not assimilate with it.
📍Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stated in His hadith about the ending time of life on earth as “Fitnah” in these words: "As Doomsday approaches, fitnah will increase. It will resemble the increase in darkness as night begins. Many who leave their homes in the morning as Muslims will return home as disbelievers in the evening. While they are Muslims in the evening, they will lose their faith during the night. During such times, staying at home is better than being involved in fitnah. Those who stay aloof are better than those who attack and lead in front. On that day, break your arrows! Leave your weapons! Address everybody with a smiling face and sweet words!" (Abu Dawood)
📍Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The one who adheres to his religion on that day will be as if he were grasping a hot coal or a bundle of thorns."
