My Tahajjud experience...

Ya Ahlan Wa Sahlan!! (Hello and Weclome!!)

I hope you're having an amazing day ^u^ In Sha Allah.

A few weeks back, I was beached within the bubble of distinct notions I had regarding "The special exam" I had to give, sounds like a big-deal.....well, it was!

Ordinarily, it's a quirk of mine to subconsciously zone out during the most draining times, like Exams and come-up with the brightest ideas regarding my common interests, such as writing and blogging. I'm sure this ain't as peculiar as it sounds, and many other juvenile friends might've also encountered the same, if not.. then call me an Alien now onwards 😐

Honestly, I am quite impregnable when it comes to ranting and scribbling about my "Alhamdulilah yet, Astaghfirullah" life, and that is a whole another series, so we'd conclude here putting it all together within limited words, so, my super-creative mind came up with a super-creative idea set amid my "very crucial exam revision session".

And, I tacked together my amateur poetic skills with my love of writing and this is what I scribbled from the gist of my heart, thought I'll share it on the blog 🌸

"Lambasting my own existence,

exiled by my very loved ones,

I straggled after whoever I saw.

I tuck my anxious self with my frowsty quilt of silk,

Oh! how delightful is the bliss of being wreathed by this comfort, averting my weak self through the teenage angsts.

Scrunched within this soft blanket,

Subdued by the comforting sleep,

I am partially dead.

It's 3:00 am,

It's dark,

How gratifying is this silence around me.

I could continue that beautiful sleep of mine,

but, that won't garner the smithereens to fill the gash I had.

I'm drowsy, but, I push myself up,

my soft bed encumbers me.

I wear my slides and push the door open,

the spark of the light stings my eyes,

the icy water is hard to bear...

but, there I am,

grabbing the oars to my boat, carrying that poise,

let me windsurf until I am at my destination, Jannah.

I exit the room and grab my prayer mat,

The sudden breeze makes the hair on my arm bristle.

Overtaken by sleep,

I fumble while placing my prayer mat into position.

Uttering the words in complete silence, not through my lips but from the core of my heart.

I snuggle and raise my weak, feeble hands for Dua'a.

This experience, it is no different than "Tamhees",

a word used to describe the heating and purifying of Gold.

Gold, a so-very precious metal,

but so full of impurities.

By performing Tamhees, the impurities are eliminated from this precious metal...

and this is,

this is what God does to the believers.

With humility before God,

I pray.

With my eyes brimming with tears,

I utter these words,

"Bring me closer to you, Oh Allah!"

 "Make things easy for me!"

This is the process to my purification,

The "human tamhees",

and, this is the power of "Tahajjud."
